Hello Everyone,
I arrived in Amsterdam a couple hours ago and now have 3 hours left before heading to Nairobi then onward to Kigali, Rwanda.
Dr. Mike Cranfield, Executive Director of the Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project will be picking me up in Kigali and driving to the Senkwekwe Centre in Rumangabo, Democratic Republic of Congo. I will finally meet my friend Mr. Andre Bauma, head gorilla caregiver of the orphaned mountain gorillas; Ndeze and Ndakasi. Tomorrow, I will also meet some of the most wonderful people that have devoted their lives to the health care and protection of the magnificent mountain and lowland gorillas, chimpanzees and other animals throughout Africa. I feel very honored to be in their presence.

Stay tuned…. I meet Ndeze and Ndakasi tomorrow….can’t wait

My Congolese Visa is on its way…. Thank you to everyone who had me in their prayers.
Thank you to the two gentleman at the Embassy of Congo in Ottawa for all of their help.

I would appreciate it very much if you would keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I am concerned that I may not receive my Congo Visa in time for my journey.

I am travelling on July 14th to explore the wonderful facility in Rumangabo where the orphans; Ndeze and Ndakasi reside.  Assuming I get my visa in time, I am fully expecting this to be a very exciting trip in which I will experience first hand the Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project and be an eye witness to all the great support that is being offered to them through many generous friends like you.

I will be sharing my trip experiences with you through audio and video clips right here on this blog site.  Please visit my blog often for all my trip updates, and thanks for your great support of this very worthy cause!

‘Til next time…
